Blog #5 - Antiwar Voices

It's always interesting to read into different outlets such as https://www.antiwar.com/ and https://www.theamericanconservative.com/web-categories/realism-restraint/ . Something I initially noticed was that most of the article titles include the name of another country.  Often times the article discussed how steps taken by America's military and government are impacting these other nations.  This is definitely something that is not covered in the mainstream news channels that most Americans are exposed to.  These outlets tend to focus more on issues occurring internally.  This leads me to believe that a majority of the people don't do research or care to learn about the topics discussed on these websites probably because they have little to no impact on their lives.

I think part of the reason these topics of war aren't often covered in our mainstream news outlets are because of the reaction it would cause in the masses.  I think it would be eye opening for a large majority of the population and I don't think they would find it fair or okay.  I think they would want to speak up and out about it, which is part of the reason it isn't covered in immense detail by the news.
